Jean's Chocolate Pie

1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of cocoa
1 cup of milk
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla
1/2 stick of margarine

Combine sugar, flour, cocoa.  Separate egg yolks and whites. Set whites aside for meringue. Beat yolks and add milk. Add this to sugar, flour and cocoa mixture.  Add vanilla and butter. Cook in top of double boiler until thick.* Pour into baked and cooked pie shell. Then top with meringue made from egg whites. Add some sugar to this. Then put in oven at 350 degrees and leave in there until the meringue is lightly browned on top.

*You can cook in a heavy skillet on low heat stirring constantly.
To make 2 pies double the recipe, but use only 3 tablespoons of cocoa.
